# Leave Fatorly

> Request to close your account or move to another provider — download your data, keep your participant ID portable, and understand what happens to your account.

The **Leave** tab of [Company Configuration](/en/settings/company-profile) is where
you download your data and start the process of leaving Fatorly. Open it from
**Company → Company Configuration → Leave**.

<Note>
  Leaving is an **assisted** process. You begin the request here and our support team
  works with you to complete it — but you can **download your own data at any time**
  without waiting for anyone. It is not an instant, one-click deletion.
</Note>

## Download your data (any time)

You don't have to be leaving to take a copy of your records. On the **Leave** tab,
select **Download my data** to get a ZIP bundle containing:

* **`manifest.csv`** — a row for every invoice (number, direction, status,
  counterparty, dates, amounts, and the network message ID).
* **`invoices/`** — the UBL XML for every document you **sent**.
* **`README.txt`** — a short guide to the bundle.

<Tip>
  This is your data and it's always available — keep a copy whenever you need one for
  your own records or for an accountant. Inbound documents you **received** are kept
  at the access point under the retention rules below; ask support if you need copies.
</Tip>

## Starting a request to leave

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Leave tab">
    Go to **Company → Company Configuration → Leave**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tell us why">
    Choose a reason and add any detail. This helps us route your request and check
    whether there's anything we can resolve first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    Submit the request. Our team picks it up and contacts you to complete the
    remaining steps.
  </Step>
</Steps>

After you submit, the **Leave** tab shows the current state of your request:

* **Under review** — we've received it and will be in touch. You are guaranteed to
  be able to leave by the date shown, whatever happens with the review.
* **Exit approved** — we've approved your departure and are processing it. If you're
  moving to another provider, your migration key appears here (see below).
* **Retained** — the request was closed and your account stays active (for example,
  after we resolved the reason you wanted to leave).

## Moving to another provider (migration key)

If your company is registered on the e-invoicing network, leaving doesn't mean
losing your participant identity. Once your exit is approved, a **migration key**
appears on the **Leave** tab.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your migration key">
    On the **Leave** tab, copy the migration key shown under **Your migration key**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Give it to your new provider">
    Hand the key to the provider you're moving to. They use it to take over your
    existing participant ID.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your participant ID is preserved, so you keep receiving e-invoices at the same
address with your new provider — only the behind-the-scenes routing changes.

<Warning>
  Keep your migration key private and share it only with your new provider. Anyone
  with the key could take over your participant ID.
</Warning>

## What happens to your account

When your exit is completed:

* **If you moved to another provider**, we hand your participant ID over to them and
  close your Fatorly account. Your subscription ends (billing stops) and your account
  becomes **read-only / export-only** — you can still sign in to view and download
  your historical invoices.
* **If you left the network entirely**, your participant is removed from the network
  and your account is closed the same way — read-only / export-only, subscription
  ended.

In both cases your invoices are **never deleted** — they're kept for the retention
period below so you can stay compliant.

## Data retention

UAE businesses must retain tax records for a regulatory minimum. Your historical
documents are kept for **5 years** and remain available to export (via **Download my
data** above) even after your account is closed, so you can keep compliant copies.
